THE MISTAKE:
The BIG mistake in trying to find your purpose, is looking "outside yourself" for something to inspire you.
THE SOLUTION:
Finding your purpose comes from looking within, to see what it is "inside yourself" which inspires you to do something.
PASSION + DECISION = PURPOSE
Feeling a deeper calling (or identifying things you are passionate about) does not necessarily mean these are things you are "good at". So many people say "well I would love to be a (____) but I'm not any good at it." If you have the true desire (not a wish) to do/be a certain thing, that's all the proof you need that you are capable of this achievement. You had to learn every single thing you know, and we continue to learn our entire lives (whether we like it or not). Some learn faster than others, and some keep repeating the same mistakes until they learn the lesson intended.
The question is, are you going to float through life learning on accident? Or are you going look at your passions and then decide what you want to learn (on purpose)...then go learn it?
***Your passions are your signals in life, your guides on how to live, what to do, and how to creatively express your true self. Recognize what you love to do, and what brings you fulfillment, then decide what you need to know (or do) and transform your life into one of purpose. You'll be glad you did.
BUT IT FEELS LIKE ME AGAINST THE WORLD?
How you view your "self" in this world, will lay the foundation for stress or peace in your reality. As the old saying goes, "There are two types of people in this world..." (now here's my part) The ones who believe they are separate from everyone and everything else, and the ones who know they are ONE with everyone and everything else. This fundamental baseline can be the difference between a miserable life and living the dream. You see the ego can fool people into believing they are separate beings, this is the "me against the world" mentality. Or when they find a mate, then it becomes the Bonnie & Clyde mentality of "us against the world", meaning there is now two instead of one. The truth is, we are all one, and have always been one (with everyone and everything else).
YOU INSIST?
You might insist on our differences, and that's okay, because you are also correct. The real difference is, the aspects of us which are different from one another are surface level differences. They are secondary. Our primary similarity is the same, LIFE. This one-life is the same form of energy that operates us all. From the planets, to the trees, to ourselves; we all run on one universal energy we call life.
Once you understand this, your fundamental understanding of life becomes one of balance. Primary and secondary are in order...and you can use them to create the life of your choosing. When you operate from a place of oneness, the world (and everything in it) becomes a collaborative and useful tool. On one side, people and things line up to assist you in your ambitions. On the other side, you fine tune your individual passions so you can creatively share/express your uniqueness to the highest degree.
THE POINT:
We all have an infinitely unique path within the one life we all share, and when we focus on our path (not someone else's) we find our purpose and true inspirations. Our main purpose is to be in touch with the deeper recognition of this oneness with all things, and live from our personally unique spirits from which our inspirations come.
IN A PRIMARY WAY: Be excited and appreciative to be a part of this great creation, then connect with your highest levels of Awareness (so you can identify and develop your passions into your purpose). Then, grab a hold of your true uniqueness, and share yourself with the world in a secondary way.

Here's a question for you. What came first...Mind, or the Universe? Science explains that the Universe was created by The Big Bang...and if this is indeed true, what created The Big Bang? Was it some form of ultimate intelligence (Mind, God, etc.)? Are their multiple Universes (Big Bang's) that were created? You would think a system as vast and strategic as the entire Universe, had to have been thought of by an infinite intelligence, or did it just happen? If so, why did it happen?
HERE'S THE BIGGER QUESTION:
If the Universe was created by an ultimate mind, what created that mind? This could go on and on forever. And what was before the Universe, nothing? How is nothing even possible? These are all questions of the HUMAN MIND. No other living thing on Earth contemplates these ideas, they just LIVE. But just as these are questions of the Human Mind, what we perceive to be "problems"...also stem from this mind.
HOW CAN WE MINIMIZE THE PROBLEMS OF THE MIND?
By minimizing the mind itself, we minimize the problems of the mind. Deeper awareness, presence, and developing (ones overall harmony with) the movement of life, will bring you into a state of flow (where problems do not exist).
TRY THIS...
Practice getting "out-of" your mind, and "in-to" flow, by first connecting to your surroundings. Go outside and be at peace with nature, see the birds and living things around you. Listen and watch the wind blowing through the tree's, and just breathe with the life around you. Smell and taste your favorite things that Earth provides, and take them in fully. Look up, be aware of the larger picture of life, appreciate all that has been given to you, and remember that what you think are problems, do not even exist to the rest of the Universe.

Stress is complicated. And Happiness is simple.
What does that tell you?
The more simple you make life, the happier you will be. Thoughts are what complicate situations, so here's a 1-step process to use thoughts as tools, and remain in control of them so they don't end up controlling you!
BE. HERE. NOW.
"BEING" is the form of living that is your foundation, thinking is something secondary in which you do on top of that. Too much thinking creates strong identifications with "things and situations"...and this is where complication arises.
SO WHAT'S THE TRICK?
Activating your Senses is a simple yet profound strategy to stopping the mind. And the more you activate, the more present you become. This exercise of getting in touch with (all 5 of) your senses, no matter where you are or what you're doing, is highly effective, and will prove to be different and diverse each time you do it. This stops the mind from complication and opens your personal doorway to awareness. Practice this often and you will become more and more proficient at BEING in your true state of life.
This 1-step breeds many other benefits, including better listening, heightened intuition, clarity, and a healthy (more balanced) energy.
"Thoughts are meant to be useful, not dominating."
